The Developing Artist Programme is tailored for graduates of advanced dance training who are ready to extend their learning into a professional environment. It offers the time, space and structure for dancers to refine their technique, build performance experience and develop the practical skills required for a dance career.
As an extension of Balletto Monson’s company practice, the programme focuses on Contemporary Ballet with a strong creative emphasis. It supports progression into the main company and other professional pathways while encouraging each dancer to articulate their voice within a shared choreographic language.
Transitioning from training to a professional company can be a daunting step. At Balletto Monson, our Developing Artist Programme is designed to bridge that gap with targeted, high-level support that prepares dancers for real-world company life.
We equip dancers with the technical versatility, performance experience and industry awareness needed to succeed—not only within Balletto Monson, but across a broad spectrum of contemporary and modern ballet companies. When positions arise in our main company, dancers from the DA Programme are given priority consideration, reflecting our confidence in their training and potential.
Every dancer accepted into the programme benefits from individual mentorship, equal access to opportunity and a commitment to nurturing both artistic voice and career confidence. Our training is rigorous and progressive, combining intensive technique classes with choreographic exploration, repertoire, and regular public performance.
We don’t simply train dancers—we develop adaptable, expressive artists ready to meet the demands of today’s dance landscape. With a focus on both technical excellence and personal artistry, we support each dancer in building a unique and sustainable career path.
